The Town of Sackville is holding a Waterfowl Park Anniversary/Daniel Lund Park Extension Celebration Day on Saturday, June 22 (rain date Sunday June 23). The afternoon will unfold with two distinct elements; the dedication of the Daniel Lund Park at 1:30 pm at the site near the end of Squire St (the entrance will be clearly marked off of Squire St) where Mayor John Higham and Kenneth Lund, brother of Dan Lund, will speak; to be followed by the 30th Anniversary Celebrations at the Visitor Information Centre at 34 Mallard Dr at 2:30 pm where there will be remarks by MLA Megan Mitton, the President of Mount Allison Jean-Paul Boudreau, and representatives of Ducks Unlimited and Environment Canada. At 3 pm there will be a barbecue, activities for children and families, and some light entertainment. As we people will be able to look at the new display in the Visitor Information Centre.
