The Town government operates under the New Brunswick Municipalities Act, and holds public meetings once a month. The Mayor and eight councillors are elected for a four-year term.

2008 Town Council Meetings
Regular Council meetings generally take place on the second Monday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers at 110 Main Street. Start time is 7:00 p.m.
