Fog Forest Gallery has been dedicated to the exhibition and sale of original art by Canadian artists since 1984. In celebration of Sackville's Cultural Capital designation for 2008, Fog Forest Gallery will feature an exhibition showcasing the work of some of our community's most creative and well-respected artists. Known for quality and diversity, Sackville artists have been recognized for many years. This exhibition pays tribute to them. This show opens on August 1 and continues until August 30, 2008. This exhibition includes paintings by Peter Manchester, Andrea Mortson, Rebecca Burke, Choleena Di Tullio, John Murchie and Donna Rawlins Sharpe. The two printmakers included in this show are Dan Steeves and Erik Edson. Thaddeus Holownia’s photographs are striking examples of our local landscape and landmarks. Kip Jones has presented two sculptural works and John Crawford is represented by a cherry wood and glass table. Patty Chasse is a remarkable weaver and the exhibit contains silk, cotton and linen - hand woven scarves, shawls and blankets. Sari LaBelle’s jewellry is delicate and finely crafted as are the complex and exciting porcelain works of Margaret Ann Capper Galbraith. Peggy Sue Payne has presented three colourful and funky hooked rugs on the theme of flowers. Fog Forest Gallery is located at 14 Bridge Street in the heart of downtown Sackville N.B. Regular hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 am - 5 pm - or by appointment. For more information, or to arrange an appointment, please call Janet at 506-536-9000.
