Jenny Whiteley, Two time Juno Winner for Best Roots Album will be performing in Sackville at George's Fabulous Roadhouse, Friday April 4th at 9pm. Whiteley is supporting her latest album "Dear" the eagerly awaited follow-up to her back to back Juno winning releases. Highly regarded as one of Canada’s best songwriters, Whitely will be supported in Sackville by Joey Wright, known for his work with Sarah Harmer among others. Whiteley blends a folk/roots style and instrumentation with contemporary elements and sounds, creating a timeless and unique sound. Song range from toe tappers to ballads, tunes with a wisdom and depth that belie the gorgeously simple delivery and through it all Jenny’s beautiful voice takes center stage.
Jenny Whiteley has been singing, writing songs and playing music for a living since the beginnings of her old band, Heartbreak Hill, in the late nineties. Jenny has toured all over North America, playing historic venues and premier festivals, sharing the stage with and some of her heroes along the way. She is also the driving force behind the successful touring road show ‘The Hootenanny’ which brings together songwriters such as Oh Susannah, Carolyn Mark, Shuyler Jansen and many others for cross-Canada tours.
