1/9/2011- Committee activity update:
The Sackville Citizens Advisory Committee on Policing has presented its 2010 annual report to council in December. The committee invited the Mayor and Council to attend its meeting on December 14 to review their findings and determine next steps in bring about these recommendations as well as the role the committee will play in the future.
The committee is now awaiting further direction from the Mayor and Council and will begin monthly meetings again after it has met with the Mayor and Council to discuss what the committees mandate will be in 2011.
The committee would like to continue to invite groups or persons to contact them if they have any comments or input on policing in the community. The committee would also like to thank all groups and persons who have met with them in 2010 and who participated in the survey.
