SappyFest is proud to announce that Wintersleep, Women, Destroyer, Eric's Trip, Ladyhawk, Timber Timbre & Ohbijou are among the many acts confirmed perform at this year's festival. Taking placing in Sackville, NB, the event takes place from July 31 to August 02.

SappyFest is the happy child of its disgruntled parents at Sappy Records. Now in its fourth year, it’s produced collaboratively alongside the Ok.Quoi?! Arts Festival and the good people at Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre. The festival’s main stage is a large street tent in downtown Sackville with an old movie theatre, church, tavern and decrepit music hall serving as satellite stages.

Bands confirmed for SappyFest 2009 include: blood-soaked country act, 100 Dollars; folk-rock transformers, Attack In Black; K Records lynchpin, Calvin Johnson; revered songwriter and New Pornographer, Destroyer; indie-rock favorite, Dog Day; perennial psych-rock heroes, Eric's Trip; 2007 Polaris Prize nominee, Julie Doiron; beer-soaked rock act, Ladyhawk; 2009 JUNO Award winner,Old Man Luedecke; Last Gang recording artists, Ohbijou; enigmatic singer/songwriter, Rick White; Arts & Crafts recordings artists, Timber Timbre; 2008 JUNO Award winners, Wintersleep; internationally acclaimed indie-pop act, Women.

In addition to the way too long list of fabulous bands, SappyFest is happy to host its very own Writers Block, Zine & Craft Fair, a diverse collection of very talented and productive artists.
