Make It! Wokshop for Kids

Wednesday, July 18th, 2012, 10:00 am–noon

Make It! Workshops for Kids, Wednesdays in June, July and August. Ever wonder how boats, belts, and butter are made? This summer do it yourself and find out!

Hike on down to the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum for mornings of make-it-yourself fun. Collaborate with friends and instructors to design and construct projects using traditional skills and tools. No experience is necessary. Materials and tools will be provided, along with sample projects such as a model wooden boat, catapult toys, marionettes, and hooked rugs.

The workshops are a project of the Tantramar Heritage Trust and are a continuation of last summer's Inventors Workshops. Each Wednesday morning workshop has a specific theme. Come for one, two, three, or more! Also, all participants are invited to showcase their work at a special Make It! exhibition that will be held at the Carriage Factory from August 10-17. Wednesday, July 18th will be Marionette Making.

Workshops will be held at the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum, located at #19 Church Street, across from the Middle Sackville Baptist Church. They will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, are for ages 7-12, and cost $5 per person per day. As space is limited, please call 536-2541 to reserve a spot at the workbench.

All are welcome!
