Legion Luncheon at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, 15 Lorne Street, Sackville NB, Friday, Aug 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Menu: Roast Chicken, potato salad, pasta salad and blueberry crisp, coffee and tea Cost: $8.00 per plate

Sackville Community Garden Summer Workshop

Sackville Comunity Garden Summer Workshop, Friday, August 17th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Fresh Cheese-making put on by the Grow With Action Program. this event is by donation (minimum $10.00) with all proceeds going towards the program.

The above event is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2nd floor, 15 Lorne Street. There is a maximum capacity of 15 people.

Will O' the Wisp productions presents The Little Prince, August 9-11 and August 15 - 18, 7:00 pm at the Sackville Music Hall. Saturday matinee, 2:00 pm, August 11th and August 18th.

Live Bait Theatre Mainstage Play

Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street, presents Fishing, by Jeremy Webb. A comedy about internet dating. The production will be held at 8:00 pm August 16 - 18th, and August 21st - August 25th. Matinee performances will be held Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 pm August 18th - 19th and August 25th -26th. (no evening performances on Sunday).

Fishing follows unlucky-in-love Paul as he dives into internet dating and swims with all types of female fishes. Somehow he manages to get seven nibbles and arranges seven dates in seven days. At the end of the week, Paul will definitely never be the same again, but will he have landed the fish of his dreams.

Festival by the Marsh

Festival by the Marsh, July 22 - August 18th. 2012 marks a return of one of Southeast New Brunswick's largest and best loved summer festivals - the full-scale Festival by the Marsh - this year with a theme of Back to the Future. This theme was chosen because 2012 will see a return to the format of fully produced plays, the Marsh Music Fest (featuring jazz, blues, and folk music), a two day KIDS FEST, a drama workshop, and other activities, all stretched over four weeks in July and August.

  • July 23-25 - A Mid Summer Night's Dream at the Mount Allison Swan Pond, 128 Main Street, produced by Moncton's Hubcity Theatre
  • July 26-29 - Toad of Toad Hall presented by Sackville's Performers Company Theatre group
  • July 22-August 18 - The Marsh Music Fest; folk, jazz and blues concerts
  • July 23-27 - Drama Wokshops
  • August 8-11, 15-18 - The Little Prince presented by Will O' the Wisp Productions
  • August 11-12 - Kids Fest; concerts, plays, the Tool Collector Show and Family Fun Day and many other activities for children and families
  • August 11 - Drama Workshop
