Soldier for a Day

Fort Beausejour-Fort Cumberland National Historic Site in Aulac, presents Soldier for a Day, childrens program. An interactive program for ages 6 -12. Experience a day in the life of a Marine soldier.

Canada Day Celebration

Canada Day events will take place at the Bandstand Park, 70 Main Street, at 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm and will include Multi-K Fun Run/Walk, a flag raising ceremony, great entertainment, BBQ, Canada Day Cake and exciting activities for kids, face painting, games, crafts, bouncy tent - something for everyone.

Tantramar Family Resource Centre: great activities including the storytent, Active Kids Backpacks ready for lending and a surprise craft built with recycled jars and things from nature.

  • 12:00-12:40pm - The Philip & Henry Amazing Family Magic Show. High-energy show with lots of audience participation and interaction.
  • 12:45-12:55pm - Tantramar Heritage Trust performing a short preview of the Sackville 250 Community Play.
  • 1:00 pm - Speeches at the Bandstand Park and official Flag Raising
  • 1:00 pm - Official start of the Canada Day Multi-K Fun Run
  • 1:10 pm - O'Canada - Nellie Landry
  • 1:30-3:00pm - Music by Heather Allison (upbeat feel-good country music)
  • 2:00 pm - Cutting Canada Day Cake

Shinerama will be holding a BBQ with hot dogs and pop for $1.00.

Canada Day Multi K Fun Run & Walk

The Canada Day Multi K Fun Run & Walk, Saturday, July 1st at the Bill Johnstone Memorial Park (Bandstand). Registration is mandatory and commences at 12:00 noon. Start time 1:00 pm SHARP. Must wear red & white. Adornment with maple leaves, beavers or other Canadian symbols optional.

There will be three different runs: 4km, 7km and 10km. After completion of the event there will be festivities/goodies at the Bandstand/park.

All are welcome to participate.

Swan Pond, Oh Swan Pond

An art exhibition which looks at one of Sackville's most beautiful spots, the Mount Allison Ladies' College Park or the Swan Pond, will be exhibited at the Owens Art Gallery, 61 York Street, for the months of May, June, July and August.
