Town of Sackville Silent Auction

The Town of Sackville is hosting a Silent Auction, Wednesday, May 9th, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at 64 Main Street (old Fire Station).

The following items will be available for bid:

  • office chairs
  • working desks & sideboards
  • book cases
  • 2-drawer filing cabinets
  • 3-drawer filing cabinets
  • 4-drawer filing cabinets
  • 5-drawer filing cabinets
  • boardroom table
  • photocopier
  • refridgerator
  • other various items

Successful biders will be notified between 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday, May 10th. Items can be picked up from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, Thursday, May 10th. All bids are subject to HST

Public Readings

Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre (PARC) is hosting a week-long retreat for seven established and emerging Canadian playwrights May 6th - 13th at Mount Allison University. Participating playwrights hail from all over the Atlantic region.

There will be an evening of public readings of excerpts from the works in progress, on Wednesday, May 9th, at 8:00 pm at the Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street. Admission to this event is free, although donations to PARC are gratefully excepted.

Spring Clean-up

TOWN OF SACKVILLE 2012 SPRING CLEAN-UP

This year our Annual Spring Clean-up will be held during the week of May 7th to May 11th, 2012. Citizens are encouraged to clean up their properties and have waste materials hauled away at this time.

RESIDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO HAVE THEIR GARBAGE PLACED AT CURBSIDE THE DAY BEFORE THEIR REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION DAY

Items that will be picked up in addition to normal household garbage: bagged leaves, furniture, appliances, tree limbs no longer than 4 feet neatly tied in bundles (not entire trees) and construction debris up to 50 kg.

Items that will not be picked up: cars and car parts, construction materials/debris, trees, brush, or Household Hazardous Wastes, or items from apartments greater than 4 units (currently not receiving municipal pick-up).
