Residential Household Hazardous Waste & Computer Recycling Day

RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AND COMPUTER RECYCLING DAY

To be held on Tuesday May 8th, 2012, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m., at the Town of Sackville, Engineering & Public Works Garage, 101 Crescent St. For More Information Call 364-4960

The following will be accepted for computer recycling: Computer monitors, printers, computer hard drives and laptop computers

The following will NOT be accepted as Electronic waste: Televisions, microwaves, any type of appliance (toasters, kettles, grills, fryers, etc.). These items can be put out to be picked up as part of the Fall Clean-up.

CHMA 106.9 FM Orientation

Want to find out more about independent radio and how to get involved? CHMA is a not-for-profit, member-owned, campus/community radio station serving the greater Tantramar Region. VE Day Parade

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, VE Day Parade, Tuesday, May 8th, march off commences at 7:00 pm from the Legion, 15 Lorne Street to the cenotaph at Memorial Park and return to the Legion.

Spring Clean-up

TOWN OF SACKVILLE 2012 SPRING CLEAN-UP

This year our Annual Spring Clean-up will be held during the week of May 7th to May 11th, 2012. Citizens are encouraged to clean up their properties and have waste materials hauled away at this time.

RESIDENTS ARE REQUESTED TO HAVE THEIR GARBAGE PLACED AT CURBSIDE THE DAY BEFORE THEIR REGULAR GARBAGE COLLECTION DAY

Items that will be picked up in addition to normal household garbage: bagged leaves, furniture, appliances, tree limbs no longer than 4 feet neatly tied in bundles (not entire trees) and construction debris up to 50 kg.

Items that will not be picked up: cars and car parts, construction materials/debris, trees, brush, or Household Hazardous Wastes, or items from apartments greater than 4 units (currently not receiving municipal pick-up).
