Fog Forest Gallery: Tribute to Mount Allison Art

Each May, Fog Forest Gallery organizes a group exhibition which features artists that have studied, graduated or taught in the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University. It is always a strong show and attracts a lot of attention. This year is no exception.

This exhibition continues until June 2, 2012.

Fog Forest Gallery is located at 14 Bridge Street in beautiful, downtown Sackville, New Brunswick. Our regular hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 am - 5 pm or by appointment. Just give me call at 506-536-9000 to set up an appointment.

NB Provincial Music Festival Finals

NB Provincial Music Festival Finals: Thursday, May 31 - Saturday, June 2, 2012 Marjorie Young Bell Conservatory of Music, 134 Main Street, Sackville, NB, presented by the NB Federation of Music Festivals with the support of the Department of Music of Mount Allison University Honorary Festival Chairperson: Patricia Grant Lewis Elliott

Outstanding young musicians from across the province will compete in vocal, piano, string, classical guitar, woodwind, brass, percussion, chamber group, and musical theatre classes.

The event is open to the public and all are welcome.

Swan Pond, Oh Swan Pond

An art exhibition which looks at one of Sackville's most beautiful spots, the Mount Allison Ladies' College Park or the Swan Pond, will be exhibited at the Owens Art Gallery, 61 York Street, for the months of May, June, July and August.

The Mount Allison Fine Arts Graduating Students Annual Exhibition will be exhibited at the Owens Art Gallery, 61 York Street, from April 13th - June 25th.

Struts Artist in Resicence Kristen Atkins

Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre presents Ease Down the Road artist in residence Kristen Atkins, May 13th - June 10th. Struts Gallery is located at 7 Lorne Street.

While in Residence, Halifax artist Kristen Atkins will set up a work space and printing all of her computer matter and organizing it into a visual sculpture. This sculpture will go through text redaction process based primarily on Bill C-30/Lawful Access Bill. She will work on managing and investigating her own personal data.
