The Things That Drift Away, Opening Reception 7:30 pm
The Owens Art Gallery invites you to the opening reception of the biannual exhibition featuring work by fine art faculty and technicians of the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University. This is the first of many fall exhibitions opening this month. This exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity for Mount Allison students, staff and those in the wider community to see the diverse work of members of the current Fine Art Department. The artists in the exhibition are Herménégilde Chiasson, Chris Down, Erik Edson, Leah Garnett, Paul Griffin, Thaddeus Holownia, Anne Koval, Adriana Kuiper, Jerry Ropson, Dan Steeves and Karen Stentaford. On display will be artworks of various forms and media including photography, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, installation and painting.
The opening reception takes place on Friday 10 September at 7:30 pm with opening remarks by Dr. Jennifer Harris. All are encouraged to attend.

Mount Allison University Department of Music presents Faculty Gala Concert, featuring performances and compositions by faculty members of the Department of Music.
Thsi event will be held in Brunton Auditorium, MYB Conservatory of Music, 134 Main Street, Friday, September 10th, 8:00 pm. Admission by free-will donation (all proceeds support student scholarships).

Hypnotist Ed Ratelle is performing at Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street, Friday, September 10th, 8:00 pm.

Or, you are the “Lord of the Dance” performing moves you never thought you were capable of! That’s what happens when hypnotist Ed Ratelle asks people to lend him their imaginations. He’s known as “the Trance Man”!
Using nothing more than the power of suggestion, audiences are amazed and delighted as they witness their friends and family become the “Stars of the Show”. A bit of magic, loads of laughter, great music and audience participation provides an opportunity for a night of unique family entertainment, and it’s happening at Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street, Sackville, on Friday, September 10th.
Tickets are $15, including taxes, and are available at the door - cash only. Doors open at 7:00 and the show begins at 8:00.
