Lion's Club Breakfast, Saturday, February 6th, 7:30 - 10:30 am, at the Sackville Lions Den, 10 Dufferin Street.

Menu: eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, toast, juice, tea & coffee

Cost: $6.00 per person, kids 6 years and under eat free. Cancelled if storming

Curl For Cancer

Curl For Cancer, 20th Annual Fundraiser for cancer research, Saturday, February 6th from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm.

All day there will be live entertainment, food, refreshments, guest speakers and more. Come out and cheer for your favourite team and participate in this perennial favourite at the Sackville Curling Club, 22 Lansdowne Street, while raising money for a good cause.

Farmer's Market

Sackville Farmer's Market every Saturday morning at the Bridge Street Cafe, 10 Bridge Street, Sackville, from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon.

MTA Brass Showcase

Mount Allison University Department of Music Brass Showcase. Mount Allison Brass Choir, director, Alan Klaus, with various small chamber group performances by members of the Mount Allison Brass Studio. Brunton Auditorium, MYB Conservatory of Music, 134 Main Street, 8:00 pm.

Tintamarre Presents BUS 36

Tintamarre presents their new bilingual comedy Bus 36, about low-level anxieties and an unforgettable bus ride.

The event is being held at Windsor Theatre, room 202, 2nd floor, old university centre, 152A Main Street, Mount Allison Campus, from Wednesday, February 3rd to Saturday, February 6th, at 8:00 pm.

Cost: tickets $10, students $5.00, Thursday, February 3rd pay-what-you-can.

Lil Dave Thompson Band at George's Roadhouse

Tantramarsh Blues Society presents The Lil Dave Thompson Band performing at George's Roadhouse, 67 Lorne Street, Saturday, February 6, 9 PM

A fourth generation bluesman from Mississippi, Dave has the soulful accessible sound of a Robert Cray, and the greasy down-home burn that comes from playing the jukes in the backcountry. Dave will be out touring to support his album, Deep in the Night, on the Canadian label Electro-fi Records, which Living Blues calls one of the last raditional blues recording labels in the world.

This show will be part of the Black History Month celebrations as well as part of the Town's Winter Carnival.

  • Curl For Cancer, Sackville Curling Club, 22 Lansdowne Street, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm.
  • Sackville Farmer's Market, Bridge Street Cafe, 9:00 am - Noon.
  • Winter Blast at Beech Hill Park: Tube sliding, disc golf, sleigh rides, hot chocolate and music (limited number of tubes, bring your own sled)
  • Family Cross Country Ski Day, Beech Hill Park, 1:30 - 3:30 pm (limited number of skis to try for a donation to TRHS & Salem Elementery phys ed programs. Skiing clinic and tour of Beech Hill Park trails.
  • _The Lil Dave Thompson Band (from Mississippi) at George's Roadhouse, 67 Lorne Street, 9:00 pm. Admission $10 advance (Ducky's) or $12 at the door.
