Book Launch: Breaking the Word Barrier

Please join the Honourable Marilyn Trenholme-Councell and members of the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick, Laubach Literacy New Brunswick and the Community Adult Education Program classes to hear the adult learners and writers celebrate their remarkable achievements in Breaking the Word Barrier: Stories of Adults Learning to Read, edited by Marilyn Lerch and Angela Ranson.

You will discover a moving and inspirational collection of personal narratives of adults who achieved success by their participation in adult literacy programs.

The event takes place in the Sackville United Church Parlours, on Wednesday, January 20th, at 6:30 pm.

Free copies of the book will be distributed. All are invited to attend!

Free books to be distributed. Public invited to attend, no charge.

Town of Sackville Sports Recognition Night

The Town of Sackville will be holding Sports Recognition Night, Wednesday, January 20th, at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre, 182 Main Street, 7:00 pm.

There will be an awards presentation and reception recognizing the achievements of our local athletes in 2009.
