Struts Gallery Members Show & Sale Opening Reception
Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre are pleased to present the 27th Annual Members Show & Sale, As Good As Gold and Better, December 11-21. The opening reception for this exciting exhibition will be held Friday, December 11th, beginning at 7:30 pm. Held in conjunction with Sackville's Midnight Madness, the show will feature a wide range of art and craft from artists across the Tantramar region and beyond. Each year, Struts & Faucet have showcased the works of our members with a show and sale during the Holiday Season.
Opening adjacent to the member's works will be an exhibition of new work by current Open Studio Artist in Residence Michael Young. Michael has been in Sackville for five weeks working on a project entitled Sets for Imagined Plays which includes a mural, paintings and a collaborative installation to which various community members have contributed. This will be the culmination of Michael's project and his stay in Sackville so do take the opportunity to experience the work and engage with this talented young artist.
Adding to the festive atmosphere will be a selection of delicious refreshments, prizes and our traditional 'critics picks' chosen by an esteemed panel of Sackville's finest celebrity judges. Everyone is welcome at this traditional holiday celebration, so be sure to stop in at Seven Lorne Street on your Midnight Madness rounds. The second Midnight Madness in the Town of Sackville is scheduled for Friday, December 11th. For additional information contact 536-3749.
- Midnight Madness Headquarters - in front of Town Hall (110 Main Street), from 6:00 pm - midnight - free hot apple cidar, hot chocolate and ginger snaps. Santa Claus will be present from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
