Legion Fall Fair Breakfast

The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 is having a Fall Fair Breakfast at 15 Lorne Street, Sackville, NB on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 from 7:00 am - 11:00 am. Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, toast, coffee or tea for $6.00 per plate. Children under 6 will be free. For more information please phone 506-536-9900

Farmer's Market

Sackville Farmer's Market every Saturday morning at the Bridge Street Cafe, 10 Bridge Street, Sackville, from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. During the summer there will be outdoor seating and vendors

"Past & Present" Agriculture Field Day

Sackville's Fall Fair "Past & Present" Agricultural Field Day is taking place at Robert Doncaster's Farm, 173 Main Street, Sackville, NB on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Storm Date is Sunday, September 20, 2009. Parking is available at Tantramar Regional Civic Centre & Canadian Wildlife Services (Waterfowl Lane). Shuttle Service around grounds and Parking area available.

9:00 am - In and round the antique barn: Local Farmers market, Fresh baked breads, Belliveau Orchards apples, Fresh cut flowers, Old fashion ice cream making, Leather making, Apple Pie baking contest, Chocolate Chip Cookie baking contest, as well as may other events.

There will be demonstrations taking place all day: such as Basket making, Primitive rug hooking, Old fashion wool spinning wheel, Hand & machine dairy milking, Silage bale wrapping, Sheep Dog herding, Workhorse harnessing demonstration, Local Blacksmith horseshoe & repair demonstation, Old fashion grain crop thrashing & press demonstration.

Children will enjoy the Round bale & "Larger corn box playing area, Hay rides, Pony rides, Petting zoo & Kids bouncer, Old fashion games, Potato sack race, 3-legged race, Egg toss & so much more.

There is a "New larger" challenging Giant Corn Maze and a local antique tractor display.

Local Live Entertainment will include 5-time "Female Vocalist of the Year" Janet McGarry and Wildwood, Hardly Heard & (Tom Johnson) Diamonds in the Rough, Nothin' Fancy Bluegrass, Tantramar Twirlers, Allan Balser with Del Wheaton & Friends, Royal Hicks & Friends, Uniake Ramblers and two time ECMA Award Winner "Bluegrass Artist of the Year" Ray Legere.

Sackville Minor Hockey will be providing a Country BBQ style Canteen with proceeds going to Minor Hockey.

Children's Wish Fundraiser

The Children's Wish Foundation is having a Fundraiser at the Agriculture Field at Doncaster's Farm, 173 Main Street, Sackville, N. B. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. with a Dunk Tank for lots of chances for you to dunk someone you know. Shilo Bellis from XL96.9 FM will be on location to be dunked. There will also be free 25th Anniversay Birthday Cake.

MTA Tailgate Party

Mount Allison University Tailgate Party. Join the party before the big football game!

Come rain or shine to the Wallace McCain Student Centre, with cash bar and music. Admission to the tailgate party is free. You can also purchase tickets for our Tailgate BBQ, that will include homemade hamburgers and jumbo hot dogs, salads, dessert squares, watermelon, iced tea and freshly brewed coffee and tea. Tickets for the BBQ will be available at the door, or online.

The Fall Fair Midway will open at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 19, 2009 on Mallard Drive, next to Home Hardware. Bracelet day is from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. only

Sackville Fall Fair Parade

The Sackville Fall Fair Parade will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 starting at 1:00 pm. The theme this year is "Growing Up Green". The parade will begin at the Drew Nursing Home and continue along Main Street to Salem School.

The second Annual Fall Air Show 'n' Shine will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 starting at 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm on Lorne Street. Come and see the cool cars from the parade close up and in the street!

Jack Drover Recognition Evening

Join Allisonians and friends in celebrating Jack's many contributions to Mount Allison University on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 6:30 pm at Tweedie Hall. The master of ceremonies is Father Bill Brennan. There will be Newfie music, mingling and lots of fun! Hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Cost is $25.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Live Bait Dinner Theatre - Hank Williams

Live Bait Theatre once again presents the dinner theatre, Hank Williams: The Show He Never Gave, September 15 - 19th. It will be the same cast as the summer performances, with the incredible Ryan Cook starring as Hank Williams, backed up by Brad Reid, Adam Pye and Andrew Sneddon as the Drifting Cowboys. The performances are at the Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street, and the doors open at 6:30 pm, with the show beginnings at 7:00 pm. Catering will once again be provided by Joey's Restaurant.

Blues Show with Garrett Mason

The Tantramar Blues Society will be presenting a Blues Show in the Festival Tent on Bridge Street on Saturday, September 19, 2009 starting at 9:00 pm. The Streamliners will be the opening act for Garrett Mason a rising blues star. Admission is Free.

There will be a Bar tent on site for 19+.

Come celebrate autumn in Sackville with a weekend filled with events for all ages, including the Agricultural Field Days, midway rides, craft show, street car derby, live bands and our famous parade and much more. The 9th annual Fall Fair promises to be very exciting.

  • September 18 - Children's activities, street dance and great live music under the Bridge Street Tent.

  • September 19 - Parade, Midway, Agricultural Field Day, Petting Zoo, Corn Maize, all day country and bluegrass music. Tantramar marsh Blues Society presents Garrett Mason with opening act The Streamliners at 9:00 pm.

  • September 20 - Street car derby, pet show and a whole lot more! Les Jongleurs de la Mandragore, one of Montreal's most exciting young Early Music group to emerge in the past five years, will be performing FREE at the Bridge Street Tent at 2:00 pm.
