Sackville Summer Quest Program & TFRC - Family Day

Friday, July 10th, Family Day with the Town of Sackville Summer Quest Programme and Tantramar Family Resource Centre, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.

  • 4:00 pm - Final performance of Musical Theatre Workshop (ages 5 -12) at Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street.

  • 5:00 pm - Visit from Bob The Builder and a free BBQ at the Bandstand, 70 Main Street.

  • 5:30 pm - Reading by Rob Lyon and local young writers at the Bandstand, 70 Main Street

  • 6:00 pm - Fresia & The Off-spring in concert. Also, short games, short plays, music, performances by the Festival Marsh Throupe, and the Tantramar Family Resource Centre reading tent and more! All at the Bandstand Park, 70 Main Street. Free Rain location: Live Bait Theatre, 87 Main Street.

Sackville Public Library Children's Program

Fun with Food for ages 4 - 12 at the Sackville Public Library, 66 Main Street, from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. Pre-registration is required for this event (one week in advance).

Festival by the Marsh presents Family Day at the Bandstand, 70 Main Street. Free BBQ, games, short plays, music and readings.

TFRC Family's Day Out - Storytent

During Festival by the Marsh Family's Day, the Tantramar Family Resource Centre presents Storytent, at the Bandstand Park on Main Street, Friday, July 10th from 4 - 6 pm (rain location: Live Bait Theatre). Feel welcome to drop by the tent to read, to be read to (Stories with Marsh themes)or write a postcard (postcards from the Marsh)to someone you know away from Sackville.

CFMTA Piano Competition - Final Round

July 8-11, 2009: "Go Maritime in 2009"

The NB Registered Music Teachers' Association and the Music Department of Mount Allison University host the biennial convention of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Associations (CFMTA), with many events open to the general public.

Joe Louis Walker Performs

The Tantramarsh Blues Society presents Joe Louis Walker, performing at George's Roadhouse, 67 Lorne Street, Sackville, Friday, July 10th at 9:00 pm.

This multiple Grammy and WC Handy Awards winner is one of the most heralded bluesman of our time.

Festival By The Marsh

Festival By The Marsh celebrating their 5th year as one of the province's largest summer arts festivals.

Featuring activities/workshops in four arts disciplines Theatre, Musical, Fine Arts, Writing over twelve days, July 8th - 19th.

During the Festival period there will be outdoor performances of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, at the Swan Pond on the Mount Allison Campus, Thurday - Saturday at 7 pm and Saturday & Sunday at 2 pm. Also, musical theatre workshop presentation of Kiss Me Kate, performers wondering around town performing music.
