Canada Day Celebration

Join us for a fun filled day celebrating all that's great about Canada!

1:00 - 3:30 pm - Festivities at the Bandstand, Bill Johnstone Memorial Park, 70 Main Street, Sackville (rain location: Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre, 182 Main Street).

1:00 pm Official Flag Raising, O Canada and speeches at the Bandstand.

1:00 pm - Official start of the Canada Day Multi K Fun Run & Walk (Bill Johnstone Memorial Park, at the Bandstand)- Registration is mandatory and begins at 12:15, must wear red and white. 4, 7 or 10km - the course is comprised of 1,2 or 3 loops encircling the Waterfowl Park and parts of downtown Sackville and Mount Allison University. Turns are well marked and street crossing will be marshaled for safety. There will be ample supplies of water on the course.

1:20 pm - Entertainment begins: Del Wheaton & Friends, Festival by the Marsh will be presenting a special skit for Canada Day. Also Winnie the Pooh and Tigger will be present, childrens's activities including face painting, games, crafts, Louie the Clown, BBQ, Canada Day cake and more

6:30 - 8:30 pm -Bridge Street Canada Day Kitchen Party (Rain location: Civic Centre). Performances by Naomi Doncaster & Kyle Legere at 6:30 pm and La Famille Arsenault takes the stage at 7:15 pm.

Canada Day Kitchen Party

The Bridge Street Canada Day Kitchen Party will commence at 6:30 pm with a performance by Naomi Doncaster and Kyle Legere. Next, La Famille Arsenault takes the stage – this lively Acadian family offers the most energetic kitchen party show around! Fiddles, spoons, guitars, keyboard, step dancing and guaranteed audience participation makes this a party you don’t want to miss! Bring a noise maker so you can join in the fun!
