During July and August, Bridge Street's downtown block will be closed to traffic on Saturday mornings for the Sackville Farmer's Market. Vendors will be able to set up in the street as well as inside Bridge Street Cafe.
The Sackville Farmer's Market features regional products and a friendly atmosphere; fresh produce, baked goods, ethnic foods, preserves, non-profit group fundraisers, etc.
To register as a vendor, call Cathy at Bridge Street Cafe 506-536-4428. Anyone wishing to perform music, dance, etc. can contact Rebekah at 506-364-4968.
So plan to stop by Bridge Street on Saturday morning and enjoy a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere where you can browse in the shops, taste locally made foods and get-together with friends.

OK.Quoi?! is an interdisciplinary festival of contemporary art, focusing on video, audio, new and independent music. The festival is produced by Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre in partnership with Motion Ensemble, Sappy Records and CHMA 106.9 FM. The works of over 40 artists will be presented over 6 days in a variety of screeings, concerts, broadcasts and on the world wide web. Alongside exciting international and national work, OK.Quoi?! features new and innovative projects from local and regional artists. AFTERNOON Kids Corner Power Jam Final Concert: Seven Lorne Street After working hard for the week the kids debut their new songs for the crowd.
EVENING Sackville's Ears -- Sackville Music Hall Professional musicians from Motion Ensemble and Sackville will collaborate with the Sackville Citizens' Band, children and other community members to present a concert celebrating Sackville's history. WL Altman coordinates the event.
NIGHT The Very Last Chance for Summer Romance Outdoor Concert & Closing Reception This event will feature a BBQ and musical performances by Bette & Wallet (Antigonish/Quebec City), Superfantastics (Halifax), Kim Barlow (Yukon) and Laura Barrett (Toronto). A beer garden will also be on site.
New Neighbourhood Contest for 2008. Can you make your street look the best in 2008? If your street is interested in joining this fun and friendly competition, contact Angela Hastie at 364-4930. Local judges will tour the community in July and judge the neighbourhoods.
The two Communities In Bloom judges this year will be arriving on Thursday, July 31. Our judges are scheduled to be Brendan Casement and Jim Moore, both have judged Sackville in the past. The tour and evaluation of the community will be Friday, August 1. The judges will be looking for new initiatives and keeping an eye on the maintenance of the community. The judges are scheduled to depart on Saturday, August 2.
